Founder/ Executive Director/ Trainer

Amanda Shaheen is the Founder and Executive Director of Kerusso Collective, bringing together her passion for missions, education, and developing others to live with purpose and serve their communities.

Amanda earned her Master’s degree in Intercultural Studies with an emphasis in Bivocational Missions from Lincoln Christian University and holds a TESOL certificate. She also serves as the Missions Director at Veritas Christian Academy, where she teaches the school’s Capstone course in Missions and helps students connect their education, faith, gifts, and future vocation with a life of meaningful service.

Her work in missions extends well beyond the classroom. Amanda has led mission teams to communities across the United States and internationally, from urban and rural to latin America and the middle east.. Through these experiences, she equips students and emerging leaders to engage thoughtfully across cultures, develop as servant leaders, and put their calling into practice.

At the heart of Amanda’s work is a commitment to training and developing people. Through Kerusso Collective, she seeks to create opportunities for individuals to discover where their gifts, calling, and the needs of others intersect—and then equips them to step confidently into that work.

Co-Founder, Trainer

Alyssa Hilburn brings extensive experience in nonprofit administration, staff and volunteer development, social services, and international missions to her work with Kerusso Collective. Throughout her career, she has focused on strengthening organizations and equipping people to serve effectively, with much of her professional experience rooted in social work organizations and community-focused nonprofits.

Alyssa attended Oklahoma Baptist University and has served in short-term missions in a variety of countries. Her international experience also includes working with church-planting ministries in and around Glasgow, Scotland, giving her firsthand experience with cross-cultural ministry, relationship building, and community engagement.

At Kerusso Collective, Alyssa brings that experience to the work of developing leaders, strengthening teams, and preparing people to serve thoughtfully and effectively across cultures and communities.
